There can be no doubt regarding the social standing of Punks vs. Gnomes. Gnomes, and Lawn Gnomes in particular, are small, inanimate, old-fashioned, kitschy, and trite, which explains PPX's resemblance to one. Punks, on the other hand, hold a place in history as a significant and influential social group.
There is simply no question as to whom is higher in the food chain.
