Lounge keyboard is a whole genre of "music" based on the alcoholic dive atmosphere, they have certain "Las Vegas" ways of playing that match the godawful furniture and wallpaper, and don't forget the smell of the carpet. Lounge keyboard sounds horrid during lounge music, but during blues its simply atrocious. Does this matter to the Third Coast Music Network crowd? Not at all, they can't hear the difference. Why? Because the alcoholic dive, i. e. the LOUNGE, is what their trip is all about. That's all they know. They love that "roots" music, but they don't know what it is. Its not the locals doing the Rolling Stones doing Robert Johnson. That's not the root, that's the branch. Extending that branch, but adding lounge keyboard to it is LAME. Pitifully LAME.
