like my organ? from: popeye-x Is that cool or what? Its a screen from B4, a virtual Hammond B3 program by Native Instruments, out of Berlin, Germany. Yeah, they're the krauts who made Reaktor. B4 is a motherfucker. Anyone who's played Hammond organs all their life will relate to it instantly. It has the patented tone wheel sound, as well as the actual background electromechanical noises made by the organ and the Leslie tone cabinet. The Leslie switch and all the organ drawbars & switches work like the real deal. I LOVE this fucking program. The final word rests with Hammond organ technician extraordinaire, my friend, Will Alexander, who works for Keith Emerson, and is super picky about organ sound. If Doktor Beaker [Will] says its a good Hammond sound, that means you better fucking check it out. Will [& Keith] usually hate anything except the real thing. Native Instruments is the best "synthesizer company" I've ever seen. Their knowledge of what's cool in keyboards is like a miracle, as if Keyboard Jesus came to Earth. |
