your getting the "pigout" version cuz I know you won't hurt
yerself with it. I gotta ease these other disciples into it, btw, Duke,

venture into the land of software sometimes, I consider what I do to be
connected to the blues in a fundamental way, like I told Gary Gabitzsch
The Dad, "what else could it be?" it just sounds strange in
the historical context, but you see, the blues has already lasted a
couple of centuries, if not longer, it has a few left to go, no way is
the ending of it going to be the same as the roots of it, but there will
be that common thread. That whole Gabitzsch family is pretty remarkable,
at least the three I know of. Lotta guitars. Greg is into computers,
Eric is into the guitar, and I know the dad, Gary, is into the blues, we
had a long talk on the phone, I had to call him up cuz his boys cracked
me up so much. If the sons are cool, you know the dad has to be cool,
right? Not always, but I can vouch for this instance. I heard one of the
ex-wives took the Hammond.... OUCH! Uncle Kurt feels your pain. I think
there's a Texas State Law against taking a homesteader's Hammond organ,
or there oughta be. |
