two more possums, one lives, one dies

funny night on the possum trail. I'm starting to think there's an unlimited supply. tonight I caught possum #14 in the trap. astonishingly, while I was looking at it, #15 came crawling by. I did something I've NEVER done, I GRABBED ITS TAIL and slung it, it bounced off the drumset's crash cymbal, and then landed over in the possum kill area. I'm still looking for it, but its kind of freaked out. I can't believe I touched it! they will bite the HELL out of you, but even worse, grabbing a possum's tail is the best way to get 40,000 fleas on your arm in one second. hehe, aw, its not so bad, its only WILD ANIMALS. they're so stupid, its just an annoyance. #15 better wise up or its going to be fly food. I'm kind of fed up with these scavengers. by the way, I didn't get one flea! I was too fast. 

while this is going on, there's another not-so-wild animal crawling on me, talking the whole time. yep, its the mmeeaa. she is sooo funny. she does the same things, all the time. I love it when she plops down beside me and wraps that tail around my belly. so nice to get a hug from a girl, even though she's a bit over-weight. I don't mind a little paunch, or even swinging rolls of blubber, hey we're pals, like the song "who's your daddy?" by toby keith. ask missy who's your daddy? and she'll tell you "mmeeaa", that means ME. 

3am update: possum #15 R.I.P. poor thing, I'm ready for #16. that 3 ft. 2x6 plank is a great anti-possum weapon. the thing about critters is you almost always have to kill them, once they get inside and eat, they are impossible to deprogram. oh well, I'm getting brave now, they no longer creep me out, and I have enough tools to deal with them decisively. it won't be long until they're all dead. in all this time I've only had one BIG possum in here, all the rest have been tiny. this tells me they're getting thru a small hole to begin with. I'm kind of getting sick of slaughtering or capturing them, there's too many!
