the 13th floor elevators were the biggest band austin has had yet, i'm sure stevie ray vaughn and eric johnson would agree. billy gibbons isn't playing with roky erickson just to be socially polite. mugtoe is so hip, he always knows what's cool. its like when mugtoe came to town and we first met, we ate mexican food, and then the next thing mugtoe wanted to do was go meet gypsy doug. and that's exactly what we did. billy gibbons and roky erickson are on a wavelength like that
