Thanks for writing. I get four or five e-mails a year asking me about Captain Gus. I am afraid that all the information on our show is pretty much what is on my web site. Channel 5 does not have any archives. We taped our show on the same reel of video tape every week, so, we erased the previous week's show when we did that.
The Captain died in 1989 from complications of diabetes. I don't have any other photos other than the one one my web site. If you have specifi questions you'd like to ask, I'd be happy to answer them. Joe Alston was a wonderful man and friend.
Now, you mind your manners... do what you mommy and dady tell you to do. That's very important! This is Mortimer and Captain Gus sayins, bye bye Matey, bye bye!
